Bea Miller Press Conference°1824 Press Conference

New York-based musician Bea Miller is still on the move! You may have heard of her from her hit songs “ Fire N Gold” or “Feel Something”. Or if you’re a long time fan like me, you may know of her from her X Factors days.
After taking an accidental break from making music, Bea Miller has released her 3rd studio album, Mr. Peaked In High School. When asked about her creative process for this album, she mentioned she didn’t really have one for a while due to her unknowingly going through depression. She continued by saying that after being uninspired and seeking mental health help, she was able to step back in and confront herself in her music fully. This goes hand in hand with what her new album is about. Her album is based on the themes of self reflection, reinvention, and the weight of adolescence. It has been such a cool experience listening to this album, especially having been a fan long enough to witness her growth from an outside perspective.
I attended this press conference before the album was released, so after a few questions we received the opportunity to listen to “drunk enough”! It was cool to see everyone's reactions and her getting to see firsthand how much we were liking it! When asked what she thought was gonna be her fans' favorite off the new album, she said she’d noticed a lot of us OG fans “really love a sad song,” to which she then mentions “summer of 16”. A song that she included just for us long-timers, since she knew what kind of songs we typically gravitate towards. Which I must say, the song is a nostalgic ballad and has become a personal favorite of mine, so she is correct in her observation.
