AtHeart Sets A New Benchmark with their English Debut "Plot Twist (Eng Ver.)"

Written by Kierra White

AtHeart’s recent press conference with 1824° for their debut single “Plot Twist (Eng Ver.)” proves that they’re a group with major global success in the making. In speaking with the members, it’s clear that this is a group with a strong sense of identity and a focused vision for where they’re headed. “Plot Twist ( English Ver.)” is a blueprint of how AtHeart plans to demonstrate their global brand across international markets.

AtHeart, sometimes referred to as @Heart, gave meaning to their name and the weight behind it as well. Their name is defined as a symbol of global connection, and with members from all over the globe, you can see the meaning behind their name being true. You can especially see how the name comes into play with their newest release.. The members stated that they want fans to feel understood and find comfort and connection in every verse of the song. That sense of reliability is what makes their music seem personal rather than just performative art.

The group also reflected on their pre-debut, noting that mastering “Good Girl” before its official release was a turning point for the girls. It challenged them to set a higher standard for themselves, pushing them to create songs that listeners would want to listen to repeatedly. That attention to detail was also carried into “Plot Twist (Eng Ver.)” where you can see clear intent with the lyrics and sound. The members also shared their excitement about finally meeting their American fans in person, describing it as a moment that truly strengthened their connection with the audience.

Looking ahead, the members also hinted at exploring different genres and sounds while blending diverse stories. The experimental influences on their debut EP are clearly already there, with songs like "Knew Me" and “Dot Dot Dot…” serving as a creative promise of range for the future. While it may be a bold move for a rookie K-pop group to do, it aligns with the ever changing scene of the K-pop world that we know.

They also tease their plans to showcase more of their "hidden hobbies” with fans in the future. One of the members is a Scuderia Ferrari fan, but I won't tell you which one; you’ll need to check them out to find out who. Ultimately, AtHeart is a group that is stepping onto the global stage with confidence that is refreshing to see from a rookie group. If this press conference was any indication, AtHeart isn’t just a timid rookie group to watch; they’re an act already confident in the path ahead.
