On Monday night, the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida, was shaken by the powerful indie-rock sounds of The Band CAMINO. I first discovered this Nashville-based band in 2019 with the release of their single “Something To Hold On To,” which remains a favorite to this day, and my appreciation of their talents only grew with the release of their third EP, tryhard. Fast-forward to 2025, and their discography and fan base have grown immensely. With their newest release, NeverAlways, fans were ready to see “your mom’s favorite band” (as self-described in their Spotify artist bio) live once again. With Orlando being the third stop on The NeverAlways Tour, they were ready to show up and put on a magnetic, lively performance.

Alina was the first to hit the stage. At only 19 years old, this indie singer seemed born to perform, effortlessly engaging with the audience as her confidence and passion poured out of her. Her upbeat indie pop sound was the perfect precursor to Almost Monday. This band was electric, with lead singer Dawson Daugherty giving us a vibrant and animated performance. With energy like this, the crowd had no other option than to feed off of it and dance.

Finally, it was the moment everyone was waiting for. After getting warmed up with two spirited openers, the crowd was amped up and ready to go. The Band CAMINO hit the stage, opening with tryhard fan favorite “Daphne Blue”, and the venue exploded in melodic screams. Fans were prepared to show this band exactly how Floridians partied on a Monday night, something the band made sure to show their appreciation for numerous times throughout the night.

The lengthy setlist spanned across their entire discography, so old and new fans alike were sure to hear their favorite songs. A standout moment was their intimate Living Room Set, which consisted of bringing a rug on stage, dimming the stage lights to a warm glow, and gathering the band to the front of the stage for stripped-back performances of “Afraid of the Dark”, “Hates Me Yet (222)”, and a cover of Justin Bieber’s “DAISIES”. During this set, you could truly feel how beloved this band is and how much they love their fans.

The growth of The Band CAMINO was front and center during their performance, not only in their songwriting and musical ability, but also in their stage presence. As someone who has yet to see this band perform live, attending this tour felt like the perfect moment. The band members were so in-tune with each other, the music is infectious, and there’s nothing like CAMINO fans. With such a loyal fanbase, you can’t help but smile at the genuine joy on their faces as they dance and sing along to this powerhouse trio.

And the party is just getting started! The NeverAlways Tour continues its North American leg until November 22, concluding in the band's home city of Nashville, Tennessee. From there, they are hopping across the pond for the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, and New Zealand legs, finally completing this expansive tour on February 26, 2026, in Fremantle, Australia. You can find the full list of tour dates and tickets on their official website, here.
