There is something for everyone at a Dogpark show and they are not afraid to prove it. The indie-rock group, formed in 2023, began playing in college basements and has now gained a dedicated fanbase from social media. Members Eamon, Declan, Billy, and Chris are nothing short of talented. I have been a fan of Dogpark since their single “Now It’s Over” was released and had the pleasure of seeing them live for the first time at Lollapalooza in Chicago this summer. From festivals to headline tours, their energy and sound is one to remember.

The band kicked off their U.S. wide The Corporate Pudding Tour in Ann Arbor last Thursday at the beloved venue, The Blind Pig. Opening up the show was Kids That Fly; walking on stage in matching jumpsuits that immediately caught my eye, in the best way possible. Their alternative-rock sound is something you can’t go wrong with and was a great way to start the night. Fans in the crowd were bobbing their heads along the whole time. You can check out some of their music here!

From the moment Dogpark walked out on stage, the room lit up with excitement. You could tell the fans really do love their music. I was even singing along from behind the camera. With a mix of hits, covers, and upcoming releases, they showed off their arsenal of different sounds and nailed every one of them. The setlist featured songs like “Breaking in Brooklyn”, “September”, and “Dive Bar Named Nirvanna”, as well as Stevie Wonder and Dijon covers. My absolute favorite part of the night was the third cover song. I heard the intro to “Grace” by Jeff Buckely and my jaw instantly hit the floor. They effortlessly and perfectly captured the rawness and energy of that song, which is not easy to do. Dogpark had the whole crowd jumping by the end of the set, as they closed their encore with “Caviar”, leaving fans, including me, wanting more.

Once again, Dogpark put on an unforgettable show and left everyone in that packed room with a night to remember. I absolutely recommend this band a hundred times over and plan to catch a show whenever they return to Michigan again. Their tour just began so there is plenty of time to check them out and grab tickets to an upcoming show in your city! Tickets can be found on the band’s official website
