Queen Naija Press Conference with °1824

The platinum-certified R&B artist Queen Naija is an artist on the rise and definitely one to watch. I had the pleasure of sitting in for a recent °1824 press conference for Queen Naija, and her energy was like a breath of fresh air. She was so relatable and open, which made me extra excited to hear about her upcoming plans. Her pre-album, ‘30,’ is coming out on October 24th and explores all the emotions that come with turning 30. When asked about the emotions behind the project, she described it as “taking off the rose-colored glasses” and “stepping into your 30s.” She’s grateful that people are still excited about her and is eager to share her versatility in her new pre-album, something she’s no longer afraid to show.

When asked about her growth between her last project and the upcoming one, she simply said, “life has been livin’.” I felt that, and judging by the collective nods around the room, everyone else did too. We did not get a teaser of any of the songs off ‘30’ but from how she described it, overall what you can expect from it is "positive energy,” “confidence,” “30 is thriving” vibes, and if you’ve listened to her past projects you’ll be able to recognize the growth she’s had as a person and an artist in the project. She hopes that from the album, you feel like “you don’t have to be super serious all the time.”

Queen Naija has said that within the next five years, she hopes to reach the peak of her career. Keep following her releases, give her new pre-album a listen, and watch for a 2026 tour announcement!
