They say good things come in threes, and that's exactly what happened in Ann Arbor on Wednesday. Worry Club made their first stop of the I’m Freaking Out Tour in Michigan and left it all out on the stage. Excited fans packed in The Blind Pig in anticipation for the night of music ahead. Bugsy kicked off the night with a strong sound that got the crowd warmed up. Edgehill was up next. Coming off the release of their debut album, Ode to the Greyhouse, the alt-rock band from Nashville was ready to show the audience what they’ve got. You could see the emotion on everyone’s faces during “Innocent”, the front row collectively headbanging along. Before closing out with “Lookaround”, fans begged to hear more, shouting out their song requests.
Opener: BugsyOpener: EdgehillStill buzzing from the two sets before, the crowd was eager for the headliner of the night, Worry Club. From Chicago, their unique sound has captured the attention of thousands. The room may have been small but the energy was certainly not as fans bounced up and down along with the music. The crowd followed Worry Club’s every command as they yelled to throw up your middle fingers and sing along.
The night in Ann Arbor was one to remember. Definitely check out Bugsy, Edgehill, and Worry Club if you aren’t familiar, I think you’ll like what you hear. More good news, this was the very first night of Worry Club’s tour so there is plenty of time to catch them in a city near you. Tickets and dates can be found here and give their new album, I’m Freaking Out, a listen while you're at it!
