Almost exactly a year ago, Phantogram released their newest album, Memory of a Day, filled with electro-rock atmospheric anthems about life and love. With it came their 2025 tour, where I was able to catch their performance at the House of Blues in Orlando, Florida.

Opening for them was Los Eclipses, a musical duo made up of French Eva de Marce on vocals and Mexican Dan Solo on keys and producing, which makes for a very interesting blend of electro-pop music with influences from each of their cultures, and lyrics in both French and Spanish. I was immediately very into their vibe. Some of the songs were more dreamy, and some were more upbeat, but they all had a beat that let the audience dance. I would urge everyone to check them out, as they also have a 2024 album, Eden Sauvage, and an accompanying remix album from this year. They make for a very fun performance, even if you can't speak French or Spanish.

The anticipation quickly built up for Phantogram in between the sets, the kind of excitement that could be felt throughout the filled venue. The music started, and the duo Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, accompanied by Chris Carhart and Jonathon Mooney, entered the stage. They started with "Funeral Pyre" from their 2016 album Three. They were electric. Throughout the entire show, the energy never went away, and I have to give kudos to the entire Phantogram team in creating such an artistic and charged show, with strobes going off and haze creating an ethereal backlight to great sound and incredible performances. Fans were decked out in merch screaming the lyrics, and even those there for a casual night out were dancing by the bar. They played a mix of songs from the recent Memory of a Day, while also pulling quite a few from the older albums. People each had their own favorites that hit their heart, but the crowd went absolutely wild when they played their hit "Black Out Days." While it's hard to pick just a few, some of my personal favorites were "Fall in Love," "In a Spiral," and "Happy Again."

Phantogram is starting to release some new music again with singles "In My Head" and “Earthshaker,” so I'll be keeping an eye on them, and I would recommend anyone into an atmospheric, electronic pop-rock sound to do the same. They're an artist you definitely don't want to miss.
