Feed The Masses Debut their Newest EP, “Closer Than You” at Delmar Hall.
Delmar Hall St. Louis, MO
The St. Louis-based indie soft rock band Feed the Masses performed their debut project, Closer Than You Appear, EP at Delmar Hall on Friday, July 25th. The group closed the four-act lineup while presenting both EP tracks and fresh unreleased songs. The young band achieved emotional truth alongside their high-intensity musical delivery. Proceeds from the concert also supported 100 Roofs which serves as a St. Louis-based organization dedicated to tornado relief for local communities.
The performance showcased selected songs from their new EP including the crowd-favorite "Hold On,” a powerful and emotional track. The band mostly performed unreleased music to give the audience a taste on what to expect from future projects. They delivered their performance with controlled intensity, creating authentic connections with their audience. Feed the Masses presented their music through genuine emotion rather than showy displays which resulted in an ideal introduction of their musical identity.
During their set, lead singer Lance Johnson sat at the piano alone under a single spotlight. The audience watched in awe as he performed his unreleased ballad which he wrote at just 17 years old. His soft yet powerful singing voice maintained the audience's complete silence. The evening reached its most emotional and moving moment during this performance.
Feed the Masses’s show was both powerful and captivating, holding the audience's attention from start to finish. The night brought both emotional depth along with high-energy moments which really connected the band with the crowd. This strong debut was a huge first milestone for Feed the Masses and we can’t wait to see what comes next for them.
