Alabama native, Brennan Keller, better known as Brenn!, started night one of the Warm Up Tour on a beautiful Wednesday in Detroit. Fans packed into The Shelter in anticipation for the night ahead. Hudson Ingram opened up the night. The singer-songwriter based in Nashville, shared a few songs off of his newest project coming out at the beginning of May. He had the whole crowd singing along to an unexpected cover of “Time to Pretend” by MGMT and bobbing heads throughout the entire set.
Opener: Hudson IngramThe lights went down for the main act of the night and the sea of fans wearing Brenn!’s merch roared. You may recognize Brenn from his songs “4runner” or “Franklin House”, both of which gained popularity on social media around their release. It was apparent that fans have been waiting to hear these songs live for the first time and were not disappointed when it happened. He teased his new project by playing a few unreleased songs and said “we are working on something that starts with an ‘a’ and ends with an ‘lbum”. After overcoming a flat tire on the way to the venue, he played an especially fitting song called “Midwest, I’ll Be Back”. Reaching the end of the night, fans showed that they were eager for more, chanting for Brenn to play their favorite songs.
