There’s something special about a band that can make a sold-out amphitheater feel like an intimate conversation. That’s exactly what 5 Seconds of Summer accomplished when they brought their Everyone’s a Star tour to a packed Ruoff Music Center last Saturday. More than just a concert, the night unfolded like a story, blending music and visuals into a performance that celebrated every era of the band's career. Whether you’ve been around since the She Looks So Perfect days or only recently started listening to them, there was something in the show that felt made just for you.

Haiden Henderson and The Band CAMINO kicked off the evening, and both acts fit the atmosphere effortlessly. Their sets had the crowd on their feet long before 5SOS took the stage, making them the perfect openers. It’s not often that I see an opening act receive that level of support, but it was clear both artists had fans of their own in the room. Multiple attendees came specifically to see the openers, creating an atmosphere that felt like a community of fans rather than just an opening set.

One thing that has always set 5SOS apart is their relationship with their fans, and that was on full display throughout the night. Despite performing for thousands of people, every interaction felt genuine. Between jokes, conversations with the crowd, and countless moments where the audience took over entire choruses, the band made Ruoff feel surprisingly personal. The fans weren't just there to watch the show, they were part of it.

The production was equally memorable. The show was divided into separate acts connected by videos and transitions that kept the momentum going while adding another layer to the performance. It was obvious how much thought had gone into every detail, creating an experience that felt polished without losing the band's signature charm and humor.

If the Everyone's a Star tour is heading anywhere near you, it's absolutely worth making the trip. With plenty of dates still remaining, there's still time to catch one of the most thoughtfully produced and fan-focused tours of the summer. You can find remaining tour dates and tickets on 5SOS’s official website.
